The supernormal happenings in this romance
are true to and are founded upon the
ancient Indian philosophy of the Upanishads.
The sculptures I have been permitted to describe
as those of Brynhild Ingmar are by
Katherine Maltwood of London, a sculptor
more deeply imbued with the spirit of Asia
than any other known to me.
To her I dedicate this book.
