THE GUIDES SHOW UP WELL The last Saturday of term, and the last Guide meeting. It was an important one, for it was an “open” meeting, and most of the people who lived round about had been invited to come to see the work the Guides did. There was to be an enrolment too. Violet Williamson’s uncle had suddenly lost all objection to the Guides since a patrol had come along and helped him to get his car out of a deep ditch where it had been for an hour and a half.
